Salutations Everyone!
It’s time for the annual “Adopt” a Single-Parent-Scholar for the Holidays program! The holidays are often a financially rough time for single-parents who are going to school full-time (single-parent-scholars). Additionally, sometimes a kind gesture can mean the world to someone who is having a hard time and give them that “push” they need to keep going. With that being said, every year, The SHO (with the help of the community) chooses a deserving single-parent-scholar to receive a special gift basket (contents of basket will vary as it is comprised of donations from the community).
If you know a single-parent-scholar who is having a particularly hard time, and can use some extra cheer this holiday season, nominate them today (fill-out FORM below)! To be considered, single-parent-scholars must be:
- single
- enrolled in full-time studies
- “nominated” by a non-family member
- in financial distress
