HEY EVERYONE!
Yes, I’m screaming! Because I’m excited! Words cannot express how happy I am right now! As you know, one of the resources that we offer to the parents signed up on our network is discounts with different companies that have partnered with us… Well, for the longest while, it had only been FEMALE entrepreneurs who partnered with us… I spent weeks looking for a barbershop to be a part of our network, because I realized that there are single-mothers signed up on our network with sons, so wouldn’t be awesome if they could receive a discount at a barbershop? I was feeling disappointed, my friend Stacie and I were wondering why males weren’t supporting the cause…Well, yesterday, I walked into SUPERCUTZ in ville Lasalle and asked one of the barbers to speak to the owner… He told me that the owner wasn’t there at the moment, but he pointed me in the direction of the front desk and said that whatever I needed to see the owner for, I could discuss with the gentleman sitting at the front desk… The poor guy was eating his lunch, but I marched right over there, introduced myself, and told him that I was the president of The Strong Hinkson Organization, whose mission is to help provide resources to single-parents going to school, and that we offer discounts to parents on our network, but it has been like pulling teeth finding a barbershop to partner with us… I was ready to get all into it, and this guy says “I’m on board…” I was like “Huh?” (it was that easy?) LOL
Needless to say, “Putchy” at SUPERCUTZ is so awesome, humble and has a big heart… He strongly believes in giving back to the community, and has plans to do so in the near future, and we hope to assist him with that!
