Salutations Everyone!
As you know, I’m always soul searching… I reflect a lot…I have been thinking about my “marital status” a lot these days, because it seems as though everyone around me is getting married, or they are in these long relationships, yet here I am single, again…In case you haven’t realized, I honestly don’t have a problem with being transparent…So today, I posted the following on my social media pages:
On my personal IG page, I wrote the following text to accommodate this image:
As a child, I never pictured that I would not be married at this age. I always wanted to be happily married…I was obsessed with marriage for the majority of my life… I just felt like always showing up to events alone, while other women had partners, was painful…Going to bed, alone at night, while others had someone to hold them, and ask them how their day went, was painful…
💔 However, I realized that I have evolved as a woman. I am no longer obsessed with being married or having a man. If I don’t ever get married, I’m okay with that. If I’ve got to be the King and Queen of my kingdom forever, I’m okay with that. I’d rather be alone, work extra hard and be happy, than to have a partner and be held captive by misery, because they are truly not the type of individual I want to share my life with…I have chosen to embrace my “KUEENSHIP”…
While on our business’ IG page I wrote the following:
Ladies… Promise that you won’t settle… Single-moms promise that you won’t settle for someone who doesn’t meet your standards simply because he “accepts” your children… You deserve the best. Gracefully take on the roles of a King and a Queen…Run your kingdom alone until the right one comes along… It may be lonely, but it’s worth it…
